Scott came to the practice of Chinese Medicine through his work as a motorcycle mechanic and teacher and years of Martial Arts training in the 8 Step Praying Mantis Kung Fu system. He eventually earned the rank of Shifu and then, with a natural calling and inclination to help people, decided that it was time to learn the medicine to complement the martial.
Scott received his education at the Academy of Chinese Culture and Health Sciences in Oakland and is a Licensed Acupuncturist in CA. Community acupuncture has always appealed to him as a way to bring this type of healing to as many people as possible.
Inspired by his extensive martial arts background, Scott likes to incorporate movement-based healing as well as herbal medicine, cupping, Gua Sha and meditational practices into his practice. When not at work, Scott loves to be around water, the outdoors or just tinkering with some interesting projects.
